The subject: the EU–India trade agreement, signed in New Delhi in January 2026. Our argument: signing is only the beginning. Whether it becomes a durable partnership, or another case of India as the "perennial market of the future", will be decided in three areas: defense, renewable energy, and skilled-labor mobility. And it will be decided in the next five years. Not in Brussels or New Delhi, but by companies.
